Meet Hailey, a 2018 senior from Maine Endwell! We had an awesome senior session! Even better is the fact that I photographed her sister Erin two years ago, and I love working with the same family over the years!
Everyone has their own approach to planning out their senior photos, and Hailey didn’t spend a whole lot of time worrying about what to wear…which worked out great! She focused on choosing solids so they would stand out against whatever background I put her up against 🙂
And, for all my potential senior clients who are not thrilled abut having their photos taken…did you know that Hailey is part of your club? 😉 I promise I can make your senior photo session with The Camera’s Eye comfortable and maybe even FUN.
Slots for seniors with The Camera’s Eye are filling fast, so call or email today to book a session!
No matter where we are or what you wear, I want you to be comfortable during your senior photos with The Camera’s Eye. That’s why it’s important for YOU to bring a little bit of home with you! Think siblings…best friends…pets! And then cue the gorgeous natural smiles:
Keep in mind – we don’t want your pet (or other ‘significant other’) to dominate your session with The Camera’s Eye. Think about only having your pet for part of the session and having someone there to take him or her home while we focus on you!
Same goes for human companions- it’s super distracting for both of us if your sister or bestie is taking cell phone pictures while we’re trying to knock out YOUR professional session. It also slows us down – we move around a LOT and we need to optimize your time behind the camera, and make it all about you! I do love meeting the people in your life, and I LOVE seeing them add just that right amount of bubble and shine to your portraits!
School is starting up, but it’s not too late to schedule a senior session with me – contact me today!
Meet Abby, a superstar rising senior from Owego Free Academy! As an honors student taking college courses, it’s hard to believe she has time for anything else…
…BUT, Abby is also a leader in the community, taking part in Global Leadership Now, YES LEADS, and the Interact Club, to name just a few…
Oh, and did I mention she is also a top athlete? She’s lettered in track and cross country, but NOTHING compares to how much she loves softball!
It’s clear this girl is headed places – and the most exciting place she’s headed is Italy! Abby has the honor of representing the USA Athletes International team in the Italian Softball Series next summer in Florence. She is just one of just FOURTEEN young women from across the country selected to represent the US – pretty incredible stuff!
To do that, she needs to raise a bunch of money – please click here to help send Abby to Italy!
Besides all of these accomplishments – Abby is an absolute sweetheart with a positive attitude and a striking personality. I’m so glad I got to know her through her urban senior session with The Camera’s Eye – best of luck to her in her senior year, Italy, college, and beyond!
Still stressing about what to wear for your senior session with The Camera’s Eye? Solids with flair are always a safe choice! And what is flair? In these images, you will see the client’s favorite color with a material pattern, or a piece of material missing, or a string or subtle eyelet pattern to the shirt…
All of this is fantastic flair – it adds a little visual interest, but doesn’t distract from your face! Contact me today to set up your senior photos with The Camera’s Eye – we can chat more about how to get the best senior session for you 🙂
Students are always concerned about what to wear to their senior session, and they ALWAYS ask.. “should I avoid patterns?” As a general rule, yes, but…like all rules…I believe in breaking them for the good of photography ; )
If you bring patterns, I’ll either simplify the background so the pattern is the standout or, I’ll play with the colors in the pattern.
Welcome to the world, Miss Adelyn! Sarah and Jenise brought their little bundle in to me just a few days after she was born – they were back and forth a bit about doing a newborn shoot, but once she was finally here, they knew they would regret not getting the photos.
The ladies brought a few memorable stuffed items and a softball glove, but there was really no major planning…sometimes the way to do things involving a newborn 🙂
Since Adelyn was sleeping away, we did a few extra shots in this ADORABLE Minnie Mouse outfit. And, as happens with EVERY newborn shoot, she left this crocheted diaper a little less white than when we started 🙂
We took our time to make sure everyone was comfortable. I have a Boppy and a wipes warmer in the studio, and we played Adelyn some lullabies – even used an app on my phone to create some soothing vibrations for her!
I absolutely loved getting to meet Sarah and Jenise and their little sweet pea. I’m so glad they had a memorable experience with Adelyn’s newborn shoot. As Sarah put it, “I will never forget how it felt watching Lisa take pictures of our new baby. It was one of those moments that you think about while pregnant, and then was coming true in front of me.”
Q: What suggestions do you have for makeup for senior photos? I normally wear light foundation, eyeliner and mascara with a lip color.
A: Of course you want to look your best for your senior photos! So how can you use makeup to do that? I always tell my seniors – do exactly what you normally do, with just a HINT of extra blush for the camera.
This leaves you looking like YOU, and fabulously camera ready. Don’t forget some extra lip balm or blush to add that shimmer 🙂
NOW is the time to be scheduling your senior photos with The Camera’s Eye! Contact me today so we can figure out the when and where 🙂
When it comes to senior sessions with The Camera’s Eye, I like to think of ivory and white as Cinderella and the evil stepsister 🙂 Cinderella is ivory…you can pair other colors with it, complement it, place it just about anywhere in nature and it looks beautiful. One of my favorite things to do is to “mute it down” and take a soft image.
And what about going bold with your senior session style? If it’s you, absolutely! I can place bold with any other bold colors outside to make you look great, and to calm down the colors and let you take center stage.
Since I’m an environmental portrait shooter, you’ll hear me talk a lot about how to coordinate with our great outdoors. So bring me what you have and we will make it work!
I was SO honored to be asked to photograph Owego Free Academy’s class of 2017 graduation ceremony! The school graduated 164 students at 10 a.m. on Sat June 24th outdoors on the Owego Free Academy campus.
This class has the highest graduation rate (in OFA history) over a 4-year span at 94%, with a 99% graduation rate since the beginning of this school year. 121 of the students graduated with college credits…one even ended her high school career w/ 46 credits!
This is a group of accomplished athletes, with many of them going to state-qualifying matches and meets. As a collective of athletes, they carried a 92% GPA! Four of the students will be honoring our Country by furthering their futures in the US Military.
Principal Heath Georgia stated this class is all about pride, talent and challenging themselves and others, pushing the envelope just a enough to make them outstanding in the future.
